while working on my BA at the
University of North Carolina at
Wilmington. After seeing an article on
Ithaka (Darin Pappas),
www.ithaka-1.com, in Water Mag, I took
my lifelong affair with surfboard
building to another level. All of the
work, thus far, are out of old surf
boards in the six foot tall or larger
range carved in very high relief.
On the back of every piece, I glass in a
laminate with as much info as possible
with the original stats of the board
being carved into one of the
sculptures. Like what you see? Or a
